Murano glass history places Barovier among the top masters of the 1400s, as he came from the Barovier family, one of Murano’s oldest glass dynasties. Angelo Barovier became known for cristallo glass, a very clear material that looked cleaner than most European glass from that period and Venetian courts prized it for drinking cups, mirrors, and luxury tableware.
