Imperial Porcelain Factory

At its founding the factory served mainly the imperial court, producing dinner services and presentation items for palaces in Saint Petersburg and Tsarskoye Selo. Over time its role expanded. By the 19th century it supplied high-ranking officials, foreign embassies, and select wealthy clients, while still maintaining court commissions. During the Soviet period it became a state enterprise with a much broader clientele, creating tableware for institutions, export goods for Western markets, and art pieces that showcased Soviet design at international exhibitions. Today it sells to individual consumers around the world through official boutiques, online stores, and authorized partners. Some limited series still reference historical court services, yet most production is aimed at private buyers who appreciate porcelain for domestic use or collecting. Special commissions for government events and corporate clients continue the tradition of producing presentation pieces beyond standard retail lines.
