Does Lladró still produce everything in Spain or is some work outsourced?

Lladró’s main artistic and manufacturing centre remains in Tavernes Blanques, near Valencia. The modelling studio, mould shops, decoration departments and kilns for the premium collections are located there. Company statements emphasise Spanish production for the porcelain art lines, which rely on local sculptors, painters and technicians trained in the factory’s own school. Other parts of the business, such as retail operations, logistics and some accessory components, draw on an international network. Metal parts, electrical fittings for lighting and packaging can originate from different countries, as is common in luxury décor. NAO, the sister brand, uses a separate facility in the same region. For collectors who focus on origin, the key detail lies in the backstamp: “Made in Spain” on the base confirms that the porcelain body was created and finished in the Valencia workshops rather than in an overseas plant.
