Is Minton still making porcelain today?

Minton’s long history includes later corporate changes that altered production and branding. Mintons was acquired by Royal Doulton in 1968, and sources describe the Minton company as non-operational by 2005. That means most “Minton porcelain” you see for sale now is vintage or antique stock circulating on the secondary market, not new factory output. If a retailer claims brand-new Minton made under the original factory, ask for proof, such as maker details, place of manufacture, and official brand ownership. For collectors, the lack of current production is part of the appeal, since it keeps attention on historic patterns, Victorian art wares, and well-known mid-1900s lines like Haddon Hall. When in doubt, rely on the base mark and a return policy, those two tools protect you more than a story in a listing description.
