What unusual Coalport items do collectors hunt for besides plates and cups?

Beyond table services, Coalport produced many “cabinet” forms built for display. Reference summaries mention patterned floral covered decoration on vases, small boxes, and table baskets, plus large presentation pieces made for major occasions. Museum and art-collection notes point to dramatic factory architecture and surviving kilns, tied to the output of decorative wares that suited Victorian show cabinets. Collectors often look for pierced baskets with original liners, scent bottles, bonbonnières (small decorative container used to hold sweets), dessert stands, and painted miniatures. These forms frequently suffer chips on pierced edges, worn gilding on handles, and losses to applied flowers. A clean, intact example can stand out even more than a common dinner plate, even with the same backstamp.
