Belleek Pottery is based in the village of Belleek in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, on the banks of the River Erne. The place name and the pottery name are tightly linked, which is why Belleek backstamps often reference County Fermanagh. For collectors, “place” matters, because pieces marked with modern “Made in Ireland” wording are tied to recent backstamp eras, and older marks can show shifts in how origin wording was handled for export markets. The factory site has long been a visitor destination, with a visitor centre and guided tours that show how Belleek’s parian ware is produced.
