Is Aynsley china dishwasher safe?

Many Aynsley pieces, especially older bone china with gold trim or hand-painted details, are best washed by hand. Hot wash cycles and harsh detergents can dull gilding over time, fade painted decorations, and give a grey cast. Newer pieces may be sold with care instructions from the seller or brand store, but vintage pieces are often older than the labels on modern dishwasher tests. If the piece is gold decorated, take an extra risk, the gold decorations are the first to be coated. Use lukewarm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth. Hand-dry to avoid water spots on the glaze. If you choose to use the dishwasher for a modern, undecorated white piece, keep it away from heavy pots and avoid harsh wash cycles. Collectors typically reserve dishwashers for everyday ceramic items, not luxury bone china designed to last for decades.
