Are Belleek pieces dishwasher and microwave safe?

Belleek sells modern pieces that are explicitly labelled dishwasher safe and microwave safe, such as some current Shamrock tableware items. That said, safety claims apply to the product and era listed, not every Belleek object ever made. Antique parian, older lustre finishes, hand-painted gilding, and delicate openwork baskets deserve gentler treatment. For newer stamped tableware with a modern use label, machine washing may be fine under normal cycles. For older collectibles, hand-washing with mild soap and avoiding abrasive pads is the safer habit, especially for lustre decoration and very thin rims. If you mix new and old Belleek in one cabinet, take care of them by era, not by brand name alone.
