Painting combines transfer techniques for certain base areas and hand-applied colour for shading, accents, and fine lines. Florals, bird feathers, and facial expressions on figurines often receive brush work from trained decorators. Marketing materials and press coverage emphasize the role of skilled craftspeople in both sculpting and decoration, especially on limited and museum-related editions. Small variations in brush strokes, glaze pooling, or relief sharpening can appear from one piece to another, which collectors sometimes use to distinguish earlier and later runs of a design.
