How to care for Royal Worcester porcelain at home?

Hand-painted decorations and gold gilding may wear from rough handling and repeated washing in the washing machine. Older Royal Worcester plates, vases and cabinets are safest to hand wash gently with mild soap and lukewarm water, then dry with a soft towel. Avoid soaking items with old cracks or repairs, as water can seep into the joints and weaken them over time. Do not use abrasive sponges, make sure to use a soft cloth. Keep items on display out of direct sunlight to prevent the paint from fading, and use plate stands that support the leg evenly. If the item has a small crack, store it only as a decorative item and not for hot liquids.
