What is the Museum of Royal Worcester, and how do collectors use it?

The Royal Worcester Museum is located in the grounds of a former factory and houses a large archive and collection covering the entire history of Worcester porcelain. Its research pages provide key dates, factory owners, product ranges and marking systems, all useful for identifying porcelain. For collectors, the museum helps answer questions such as: “Is this a form from Dr. Wall’s period?”, “Does this mark correspond to the year indicated?” or “Which decorators worked in a particular style?”. The museum’s materials indicate that porcelain production in Worcester began in 1751 and continued until the factory closed in 2009, which clearly shows the history of Worcester production. If you can visit the gallery’s displays, you can feast your eyes on authentic palettes, gilding habits and the quality of painting.
